AL RAQIS - The Primes of the Pryxis have recalled the Myrmidon fleets from the Concordat Space. Ambassadors and emissaries have e been recalled to be given additional instructions as to how to interact with present and future species.
The conflict will continue on Tleylax to either our successful conclusion or outright defeat.
Moreover through a recently technological breakthrough we have created Kharons that will explore unknown areas of the Universe and seek out new species.

Beit Dawla Election Slate Set!
AL RAQIS CITY- From August 28 to September 3, eight candidates will be vying for four seats on the House of State. Candidates Skhmet Pryxis, Damhnait Cernach, Deren Ireton, Senet Blackburn, Tah Sha REE , Otheym Rashad, Khajied Narstrom, and Jade Moonkill will be campaigning over the next week. The Magistrate urges you to contact your favorite candidate to discover their plans for a more glorious Al Raqis.

Karsadia Embassy now part of Al Raqis Medical Center

The Laandstrat has just voted to grant Karsadia Embassy into neutral diplomatic status with the understanding all medical facilities will be at the Al Raqis Medical Center. We will train others as well in science and medicine. The Embassy however will hold the research facilities and will continue to be ambassadors of good will. We are neutral and not a faction nor will we be.

Welcome Evangeline: New Region in the Al Raqis/ Splintered Rock

After speaking with Vooper on Sunday I have decided to add one of my rental sims to the AL Raqis and Splintered Rock rectangle. To the East of Wadi Emet I have placed my sim Evangeline and created 5 large parcels, each holding 749 prims, that will be available for rent to any Al Raqis or Splintered Rock resident. If you want a parcel, go over and buy it. Just stay in theme and the rest of the rules in your Evangeline parcel are yours to make..Oh yeah....and make sure you pay the rent.

Urgent Piracy Alert on Al Raqis

This Friday 29th July 6-8pm, Al Raqis, or to be more precise Club Naos shall be beset by Pirates for our "Pirates and Wenches Party". Come along as a pirate, a wench or just as yourself to enjoy some grog and perhaps even find some treasure . We're giving a prize of L$500 to the best costume.
Music as always by DJ Sredni Vashtar playing the best in old school goth, 80s new wave and pop and your requests.

AL RAQIS - The Magistrate, regretfully, announces the creation of the Beit Dawla. A Lower yet, unfortunately, equal branch of government in the Al Raqis system.
Elections will be held the week of August 28th - September 3rd.

Half of a bicameral (Latin bi, two + camera, chamber) experiment in role-play governance. The Beit Dawla is a deliberative assembly with co-power to pass, amend, and repeal role-play policies/laws and assist in the governance of the Wadi Emet /Al Raqis group.
* Eligibility:
Any "active" member of the Al Raqis or Wadi Emet Role Play Group.
Term or service:
4 months (renewable by re-election)

I wanted to clarify a couple of things that have come to my attention recently. United Federation Starfleet (UFS) currently occupies the small outpost on Splintered Rock. UFS is NOT and NEVER HAS BEEN linked or affiliated with Starfleet Torchwood Command (STC).

HN accounes new "Soul" class ship reactors

AL RAQIS - House Narstrom Research division announced a breakthrough in starship based reactors, This new base of engine is practically limitless in it's potential, it's completely green, uses next to no fuel at all and in case of emergence could even keep a whole city powered for some time.
The researchers at HN are very proud with this new discovery and hope to being around a new age of space travel.

OOC: Orion Notice!

Two items:
1. One of our Swords is going to make a public announcement of joining into partnership sometime this week. Their Partnership ceremony will be done as Orions.
2. Intelligence is inticating there will be a combat roleplay in the Al Raqis/Splintered Rock Sim initiated by the UFS against Orions. Those wanting to participate in this combat roleplay contact Jo Massenberg or Ar Barbosa.

OOC: RP Notice for Players
It has been observed by Orion Operatives at UFS that Starfleet is now receiving attacks from people not in the Orion-Starfleet roleplay. It is very important that you wear your meter AND your group title when roleplaying with the UFS personnel or on their home sim. Otherwise you could be mis-identifed as a griefer. Small courtesy that results in avoiding big mistakes.
